Simultaneous Interpretation
In simultaneous interpretation, the interpreter transmits the speech from the source language to the target language in real time, without interruptions. Simultaneous Interpretation can be done in-person or on-line.
For in-person Interpretation, simultaneous Interpretation can be done using booths complete with acoustic isolation, at tabletop type booths or just with portable equipment. Simultaneous interpretation can be done and transmitted through applications with the special function for Interpretation, such as INTERPREFY, KUDO, ATIV SOFTWARE etc., or thought regular virtual meeting applications, such as ZOOM, GOOGLE HANGOUTS, SKYPE etc.
Consecutive interpretation
Consecutive Interpretation is the modality of interpretation in which the Interpretation from the source language to the target language is done between pauses in the speaker’s talk. This modality usually increases the duration time of the event in question.
Consecutive Interpretation can be also done in-person or on-line. For example, in the judicial sphere, where the presence of interpreters is normal at judicial or extrajudicial hearings, in testimonies, among others.
